Harry does not support risking a renewable resource for the exploitation of a non-renewable resource. The health of the renewable resource should always come first. That said, Harry believes that less destructive and harmful extraction methods could be acceptable rather than the proposed open pit.

Developing the Pebble prospect has many unanswered questions that Harry believes must be answered before a final decision is made on the project. For example, the Pebble project, although huge, may be too low grade to be economic. What happens if it folds before reclamation? Concerns like these must be addressed before any work starts.
